Steph Curry Lesson 1
(Avancemos 1.2 Vocabulary)
In this lesson, I suggest you use TPR to review vocabulary. In the actual lesson, I am suggesting you break it into chunks as you show the Steph Curry video, but as a sample for how I might introduce these vocabulary words, I created this video of me introducing the vocabulary below. You theoretically could use this to instruct your students, but I think it would be better from a live instructor! Just an FYI, I just got in front of the camera and did the video without any practice, so it's not perfect by any means! It's just a sample video for how to introduce the vocabulary with TPR! I always make my students stand up to the TPR actions!

1. Use TPR to introduce the following words. (8-10 minutes)

2. Hand out the worksheet below, and have the students read through it, or read through it all together as a class. (5 minutes)

3. Show video segment 1 twice (intro and plays 9 and 10) and segment 2 twice (plays 6, 7, and 8have the kids start filling out the worksheet. (5 minutes)

4. Use TPR to review words from above, and add the following vocabulary words. (8-10 minutes)

5. Show video segment 3 twice (plays 4 and 5) and segment 4 twice (plays 1, 2, and 3) have kids fill out the worksheet. (5 minutes)
