During my first year of teaching almost 10 years ago, I knew that learning through music was an extremely powerful way to engage students and produce lasting learning results. Teaching in an urban school setting, I began taking popular songs and changing the lyrics to match language learning objectives. I added visual aids and TPR motions to the songs and was amazed at the results. This week, I am releasing a new music video featuring a song I recorded back in 2006. The initial target demographic was for upper elementary students in a FLES elementary Spanish program. Check out a preview of the song below.
